You can have your DIY Ground Sound project displayed on this page.
You only have to return some pics and comments on the sound and function.

Markus has updated his old DIY mono power amplifier.
There used to sit a 150W MOSFET amplifier module - now it has been replaced with two of our amplifier module from the Sale page: PA3CCmkII, TIP.

Markus: "Now I am very satisfied with the result! (On the first sight they seem to be equal to the class A amplifiers)."

Nils Hjelte has made this nice active box
Nils:"It works and soon I will use in a real setup"

Jesper AA. Nielsen's Room Correction Filter
and Active Loudspeakers

Jesper has made a DCN23 box for room correction experiments and tweaking.
And now he also has activated his loudspeakers - yet we are missing a picture of the loudspeakers themselves

"The Pimster"
"The Pimster" as he calls himself has built a Seas Froy inspired loudspeaker and it's a very nice result. The loudspeaker is a 2,5-way based on two Seas W15CY001, ScanSpeak D3004/660000 and our electronics - Coolback303

Thomas R.
The whole gallery have been updated and new pictures have been added. We are very close to the final loudspeakers for the Center and Front - EighteenSound drivers will do the job - do have a look...

Kim H.
He has installed seven amplifier blocks for his 5.4 surround home theatre. The loudspeaker system consists at the moment of five 2-way speakers with two 6,5" ScanSpeak bass/mid driver and one ScanSpeak 1" alu dome and the subrange is performed by 6pcs. small volume boxes with Peerless 12" XXLS subwoofer drivers. Definitly a Home Theatre with a huge dynamic range...

Jeroen KV's Active 2,5-way Open Baffle Loudspeakers
Jeroen has constructed a pair of open baffle loudspeakers with 2 x 12" woofers and a B&G planar driver. He has chosen the obvious approach and made them active...

Peter Hess's Stereo 3-way Digital Crossover
Peter believes in very solid boxes. The loudspeaker boxes are a combination of metal, MDF and some secret damping compound to reduce all unwanted box vibration.

Markus Packeiser's Stereo 3-way Crossover
Markus has acitvated his "Topas plus", based on a Hobby-Hifi concept. He has build his digital crossover in a conventional size box - it looks pretty good

Bernd Ewald's project DCN23 kit
He have activated a pair of DIY loudspeakers with Eton and Seas drivers. The filter will be setup as 3-way stereo with a Linn Unidisc SC sourse and a Chakra multi channel power amplifier.

Peter K's horn system
Peter bourght the amplifiers from gallery 3. The system consists of two very big 29Hz basshorn and two 2" coax BMS 4592 ND / Horn.

Peter says:
"I do not miss any of my previous amps!"
"The sound is still clear and clean with a nice sense of ‘presence’ "
"the ‘blocks’ are VERY silent considering that the sensitivity of the speakers is +110 dB/1 watt(!) "

Stig's active ATC
Stig bourght the 5 active amplifiers from gallery 6 and activated his ATC SCM-100. In this gallery you can see how simple it was...

Gerd D's "experimental box"
A little upgrade and modification...

Ruud Groot's "Coolback"
Elektor / Ground Sound combi. It's build a bit like the coolback system.
He's saying: The systems sounds great and tuning to my ears content is sooooo easy!

Stefan Wössner:
By the way, both DCNs worked right from the start. No search for errors necessary. Your assembly instructions are very good. I started with a generic DCN setup, based on the recommendations of the speaker producer (Manger) for crossover frequency and characteristics. The woofers are build in a closed cabinet and show a drop off below 80Hz (calculated), so I corrected this to be linear down to 30Hz. It already sounded great. Then I used the programming based on my measurements, where I corrected some room resonances and pulled up the Manger's soft roll-off at high frequencies. The result is a frequency response within a 5db range from 28Hz to 20kHz with a sweet-tempered phase.
The listening result almost knocked me off my shoes. Crystal clear heights like I never heard them from Mangers and a very tight an low bass.

We will continually add customers' creations and comments on this page
- so if you think it is interesting keep on coming back once in a while.
