In this gallery you’ll find some proto types / experiments of Tobias Lindell - Lindell Audio
(not that much to see at the moment).
Tobias is a studio/mix engineer and producer at Bohus Sound in Gothenburg Sweden.
Tobias has made quite a lot of custom-made loudspeakers both for Home Entertainment and Studio use.
The next project involves a Lindell Coolback powered by Ground Sound products - DCN23, PA3CC, PSU8SA and TR600

After experimenting with the above active amplifier, but only as mono power amplifier versus a competitive class D
amplifier Tobias had this to say:
"I have listened to your power amplifier for a while. Has only used one channel full-range. It sound really great -
open and fine highs. I like that processor/amps has so low noise floor.
I have measured the frequency response on the same tweeter
(RAAL Ribbon) with X Class D amp and the Ground Sound amp and got different curves.
PA3CC measures much better. I don’t know if the X Class D amp output filter cuts away the top? See plot:"

<<<< Plot of the X Class D amp driving the RAAL Ribbon tweeter. I (Robert) guess that the output filter interacts with the
tweeters internal transformer and maybe even input (or output) filter make the amplifier drop off a little bit early. All can be corrected
with a digital crossover like DCN23 - but this doesn't make it easier...

This “discovery” brought the next project along – a power amplifier in a custom-made chassis from MODU
with our SPA550 kit:

Two pictures of the Lindell amp

Those MODU chassis look excellent and they are perfect for DIY

A plate-amp with DCN23 and ColdAmp amp-modules/SMPS supply for tweeter + mid-rang and compact PowerSoft amp/SMPS module 2x1000W/8Ω for bass
